Gaylord National offers an exclusive, express shuttle to and from Reagan National Airport. Shuttles depart every 20 minutes from both locations. Reservations are recommended, but tickets are also available from the SuperShuttle desk, located on the lower level of the airport, near baggage claim.

Metro/Bus
The Gaylord National is connected to the Metro via a limited-stop bus route. The bus stops in National Harbor at the Waterfront St/Potomac Passage and St. George/Waterfront St stops approximately every 30 minutes. Water Taxi
The Potomac Riverboat Company offers a water taxi service to and from the Gaylord National Resort and Old Town Alexandria, Georgetown, and Mount Vernon. The current round trip fare is $16 per person. Please visit the www.potomacriverboatco.com/ for additional information.

From the Alexandria Amtrak station, you may take a taxi, use the Gaylord National's King Street Metro Shuttle, or use the Metro Rail/Bus to travel to the Gaylord National. The King Street Metro Shuttle departs from the King Street Metro station parking lot every 40-50 minutes. Tickets cost $7 USD (one-way) and $14 USD (round trip). Visit the Gaylord National's shuttle website for an exact schedule. By Metro Rail/Bus:

  1. From the King Street station, take the yellow line to L'Enfant Plaza
  2. Transfer to the green line
  3. Take the green line to Branch Ave

From Union Station, you may rent a car, take a taxi, or use the Metro Rail/Bus to travel to the Gaylord National. Car rental companies are located on the Mezzanine Level near the parking garage entrance.The taxi stand is located outside the Main Hall entrance and operates 24/7. By Metro Rail/Bus:

  1. From the Metro Center station, take the red line to Gallery Pl-Chinatown
  2. Transfer to the green line
  3. Take the green line to Branch Ave

Driving and Parking Directions

Gaylord National is 15 minutes due south of Washington, DC—just off the Capital Beltway (I-95/I-495)—making it an easy drive from the surrounding Maryland and Virginia areas as well.

The brand-new National Harbor development may not register yet on some older GPS systems. If you are concerned about your GPS accurately displaying National Harbor, please use the detailed driving directions on the hotel website.
