Colleges and universities often have the unique opportunity to control planning and construction decisions at various levels and set comprehensive, far-reaching objectives for future development. These unique circumstances allow higher education institutions to utilize a number of USGBC programs and resources to help steer their decision-making processes toward sustainability. The LEED for Neighborhood Development (ND) Rating System is one of the most important tools in this process, and can have a major impact on these decisions. Whether used for certification, for visioning exercises, or to help evaluate current campus performance, LEED-ND can serve as a valuable tool for colleges and universities in developing a blueprint toward sustainability.

The webcast’s goal is to share knowledge of the various LEED-ND applications and to help colleges and universities determine how the LEED-ND rating system can best serve their needs.
