2013 SCUP AWARD FOR INSTITUTIONAL INNOVATION AND INTEGRATION RECIPIENT

The 2013 award recipient is the Board of Regents for Higher Education (BOR) – Connecticut State Colleges and Universities for their entry, Manufacturing Centers Initiative.

A Special Designation is being given to The University of British Columbia for their entry UBC Sustainability Initiative.

This award recognizes and honors achievement by higher education institutions that have demonstrated innovative thinking, planning and implementation in an integrated fashion. Integrated planning is the process whereby all planning and budget activities throughout every level of the organization are effectively linked and coordinated and driven by the institution’s vision, mission and academic priorities. The award honors the tools, processes, and other initiatives that increase collaboration, coordination and synergies across the institution(s). It serves to highlight the process and why a project is innovative and integrative rather than on the physical results.
