Planning for Special Campus Events: The 2002 Winter Olympic Experience
Presenter(s): Don Adams, Sear Brown; Anne Racer, University of Utah
At the University of Utah, the 2002 Winter Olympic Games presented some tremendous challenges, but also some exciting opportunities for a campus that was contemplating extensive changes during a master planning process. This session will highlight the process, the plans, and the long-term advantages gained by the university, particularly by its transportation system. The critical involvement of key stakeholders will be highlighted, as well as the university¹s use as a housing, venue and transportation hub. |
