Planning Together: Linking Strategic Planning, Institutional Accreditation, and Student Learning Outcomes
Presenter(s): Beth Pellicciotti, Purdue University Calumet; Earl H. Potter, Eastern Michigan University
Planners and administrators in higher education have many masters. Boards of trustees and external agencies ask us to examine mission and our changing environments. Students and the public seek answers on how well students are learning. At Purdue University Calumet, we are integrating our planning processes by using institutional accreditation as a way to report on the progress of our strategic planning process. The focus of both strategic planning and accreditation is on student learning, the essence of our mission. |

| Due to our concern for the privacy of members of the face-to-face audiences at SCUP37, our digital archives of SCUP37 presentations end at the beginning of the question and answer portion of each session. Whenever we can, we not only provide streaming audio but the slide show or visual presentation used by the presenters, as well. |
