Planning for Learning Technology Resources: A Case Study from the University of Monterrey

Presenter(s): Lewis T May, Page Southerland Page; Kurt Neubek, Page Southerland Page
Convener: John C. Adams, University of Nebraska Medical Center

When the University of Monterrey created a Learning Technology Planning Committee, defining the vision, goals and how they wanted to better use technology was only the first step. The next step was finding a team of consultants who could help define the spaces required, identify the infrastructure, equipment and furnishings needed, and assist in developing a schedule and cost estimate to make it a reality. You will learn how the consultants were selected, the approach they used, the resultant plan, and gather valuable technology planning and budgeting guidelines that you can use.

This knowledge resource from SCUP is a concurrent session presented at the Society's thirty-seventh annual, international conference and Expo, SCUP–37, in San Diego, CA (USA), in July of 2002.

Audiocassettes of this and other SCUP–37 sessions are available for purchase here.

Due to our concern for the privacy of members of the face-to-face audiences at SCUP–37, our digital archives of SCUP–37 presentations end at the beginning of the question and answer portion of each session. Whenever we can, we not only provide streaming audio but the slide show or visual presentation used by the presenters, as well.
