Parking Planning: Improving the Quality of Campus Life
Presenter(s): Tom Arnold, York University; Mary Lynn Reimer, York University; Richard A. Rich, Rich and Associates Inc
Parking planning can be a dynamic tool for improving the quality of a campus. This panel discussion will address how creative planning can provide campuses with a safe and convenient parking experience. It will also demonstrate how ³mixed-use² approaches can provide untraditional, yet valuable, services in addition to parking. The presentation will combine a theoretical overview with a case study demonstrating how Canada¹s third-largest university used innovation to improve parking and establish a new service benchmark, and how they dealt with a planned double cohort. |
