Dinosaurs, Gazelles & Tigers: New Degree Program for Managing Higher Education Institutions: A US-Brazil Case Study

This session will present the planning results of a new master of science degree program in higher education administration offered in Brazil (and the U. S.) by a partnership of three institutions. The program is professional, interdisciplinary, practical, international, and is not housed in a school of education. Presenters will address the program's uniqueness, how it responds to markets (dinosaurs, gazelles, and tigers), methodologies, distance learning, and the stages of planning and development.

This knowledge resource from SCUP is a concurrent session presented at the Society's thirty-sixth annual, international conference and Expo, SCUP–36, in Boston, MA (USA), in July of 2001.
