Volunteering at SCUP
Looking for ways to get more involved with SCUP?
You don't have to serve on the board or a committee to be considered a member leader at SCUP. If time is short but you really want to contribute, consider the following ideas:
- Present at a workshop or concurrent session at the annual, international conference or at a regional conference or one-day event
- Serve as a convener at a concurrent session. Conveners open and close conference sessions, introduce presenters, moderate question-and-answer periods at the end of sessions, collect evaluation forms and presentation materials from presenters for later inclusion on a CD. They help conferences run smoothly and professionally.
- Offer to help at your regional conference.
- Author an article and submit it to Planning for Higher Education (PHE), our quarterly, peer-review journal.
- Serve on the journal's Editorial Review Board
- Serve as a reviewer of annual, international conference proposals through membership in one of our planning academies.
- Become a member of one of SCUP's many committees and task forces.
