Are you looking for an opportunity to meet other higher education professionals to hear how planning is structured and used at their colleges and universities?

Are you interested in exchanging ideas and meeting common planning challenges on campus?

Are you seeking the knowledge and resources that will save your institution time and money on your next planning project?

Then membership in the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) makes sense for you!

Come Join Our Community...

SCUPers from around the world invite you to become part of a growing community interested in learning about and sharing best practices in planning for higher education.

While SCUP programs and publications focus on the many different types of planning required for colleges and universities to meet institutional goals, SCUP believes (1) that the academic plan should serve as the hub of all planning done on campus, and (2) that all planning done on campus should have as a primary goal the enhancement of the learning environment.

Members have the opportunity to learn from each other during discussion groups at SCUP conferences, institutes, and workshops.

SCUP events and tours expose members to local campuses.

Types of Planning & Areas of Interest...

The types of planning that SCUP events and publications focus on include (but are not limited to): academic, budgeting and financial resource, campus, facilities, master, and strategic.

SCUP also focuses on special areas of interest to members, including (but not limited to): enrollment planning, space management, sustainability, student housing and/or services, technology, town-gown relations, libraries, and trends in higher education.

Whenever possible, SCUP also presents programs and gathers information on international higher education topics.
