Step One. Read this page and the information here and decide if you're interested.
Step Two. View the PDF file which shows you the data fields you will be asked to populate.
Step Three. Use this online form to request that a CFI account be set up for you and your campus.
Step Four. Receive a password and access to the actual instrument, as well as to be joined to an email list of those who've already received
such access, plus related SCUP leadership and staff.
Once you are invited and receive your password, click on this hyperlink and you will be asked to provide the
password you were assigned. After you provide that
password, the survey instrument will appear. Thank you for your
participation.
Step Five. Prepare and provide the data. Then our volunteer leadership and SCUP staff will clean up the data and prepare various reports. You will gain access to the data by July 1.
The following definitions are provided to facilitate your
response. You may also refer to the appropriate sections of
the FICM Manual.
| Educational
and General—Space used to support instruction, research,
public service, academic support, student services, institutional
support, and operation and maintenance of physical plant.
|
Auxiliary Enterprises—Space used to furnish goods or services to students, faculty,
or staff, and for which a fee is charged that directly relates
to, although not necessarily equal to the cost of the goods
or services. The distinguishing characteristic of an auxiliary
enterprise is that it is managed as an essentially self-supporting
activity. Examples are residence halls, food services, inter-collegiate
athletics (only if essentially self-supporting), college
stores, faculty clubs, faculty and staff parking, and faculty
housing. The general public may be served incidentally by
auxiliary enterprises. |
Hospital—Space used to support patient care, including nursing
and other professional services, general services, administrative
services, and fiscal services. |
Independent
Operations—Space used to support operations that are
independent of or unrelated to, but may enhance the primary
missions of, an institution. This category includes separately
organized operations owned or controlled by the institution
but unrelated to, or independent of, the institution's mission.
